Drummer (and bandleader) ali clark has a wealth of experience playing with jazz, blues, pop and rock bands. He’s never been famous but he has played with some famous people! He’s played in a movie, been on two albums, and has done some orchestra pit work and sessions. He’s been a Performing Arts College tutor and Workshop Leader.

He studied at the Guildhall and with private tutors. He’s been influenced by many musicians but his favourite rock drummer is Al Jackson from Booker T and the MGs and his favourite jazzman is Jo Morello from the Dave Brubeck Quartet. He admires both for the deceptive simplicity of their playing.

He plays a Yamaha Series 9000 studio maple kit with Ludwig Black Pearl snare drum and Paiste and Istanbul Signature cymbals. Heads are Remo pinstripe. His own head is treated with Gillette G2 and Morrison’s conditioning Body Butter!
